~I Love You~
I love you in the morning
With the first rays of sun
peaking throught the curtains
caressing your cheek
I love you in the afternoon
the heat of the day
paling in comparison
to the heat rising between us
I love you in the evening
Shadow creeping across the land
enfolding us in velvet darkness
echoed by your embrace
I love you in the night
as our bodies touch gently
and merge together
our souls becoming one
I love you as night becomes day
and as days become week,
flowing to month and to year
onward to forever
I love you eternally
our hearts beat together
Our souls dance midst the stars
Our spirits joined eternal
I love you beyond time
For when forever has passed
I will still not have had
Enough time to love you.

for Daniel...
In love, in life, everything I do is for you.
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

Of Cloudless Climes:
This web page is linked to my forum of the same name, which is a Delphi forum devoted to romantic poetry and short stories which are on the erotic side. Some of my milder work will be highlighted here.

A crystalline image
burned in my mind
a hand outstretched
sparkling tears falling
rainbow drops
glistening in the sun
Pain a knife
stabbing deep and true
eviscerating
shredding and tearing
Crimson drops
diluted by tears
agony sharp
clear as a sunlit morn
kneeling
head bowed
spreading red
vision in my eyes
tears hang pregnant
on my lashes
falling slow motion
splashing the pooling red
shaking and alone
waiting.
Forever waiting
for torment to end
praying for mercy
for death
Silent lucidity
gentle fingers catching the tears
stroking my cheek
breath catching
Tilting chin
stained face
watery eyes speak mute appeal
gentle smiles
tremulous response
Hand takes mine
pulling me up
away from the spilled emotions
the spreading stain
arms surrounding
warming, healing
wounds closing
pain subsiding.
Thanatos bows
the pale horse moves on.
Silent lucidity.
Realization of love.
